RAIRESWAR & KENJALGAD

FLOWERS SPECIAL

The highlight of Raireshwar is its ancient stone temple, later reconstructed in the 18th century. It is here that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, at the young age of 16 in 1645, took the oath of Hindavi Swarajya by cutting his little finger and dripping blood onto the Shivling. This makes Raireshwar a landmark in Maratha history.

The trek route begins from Korle village (around 6 km), and along the way, trekkers are greeted with lush greenery, small waterfalls, and breathtaking landscapes. Upon reaching the plateau, one can witness a vibrant spread of wildflowers during the monsoon season, adding charm to the historic setting.

Located close to Raireshwar, Kenjalgad Fort lies on a narrow ridge and offers an adventurous climb through rock-cut steps. The fort’s top provides magnificent 360° views of surrounding ranges, including Kamalgad, Rohida, and the vast Bhatghar backwaters.
